Projection & Display Systems
This show uses two screens (front and rear) with independent content. The VJ delivers one video output per screen. Two stage configurations are supported below.
Front Scrim (Sharkstooth Gauze)
  • 12m × 5–8m (40' × 16.5'–26') sharkstooth gauze with grommets
  • Hung at the furthest downstage edge of the stage
  • Weighted at bottom with 12m × 12" box truss as weight bar
  • Exact height advanced with each venue by Production Manager
  • Fabric: Rose Brand Sharkstooth 8/2 or equivalent (NFPA 701 compliant)
Rear Screen (Two Options)
  • Config A: 8.5m × 5m (28' × 16'5") box truss frame on wheels, rear projection screen
  • Config B: LED wall, pixel pitch 6mm or smaller (P6, P5, P4, P3, P2.6)
VJ delivers one video output per screen. All edge-blending, geometry correction, and multi-projector alignment is the venue's responsibility.

Front scrim is hung from the house rig / overhead truss via grommets at the furthest downstage edge of the stage. Bottom is weighted with a 12m × 12" box truss to keep the drape tensioned. Rear screen is on its own rolling box truss frame. Exact scrim height (5–8m) advanced per venue.

Live Camera System

A miniature camera captures Flying Lotus on stage and feeds a live SDI signal to the VJ at FOH for real-time video feedback effects.

Camera must be as close to Flying Lotus as possible without blocking audience sightline. Wide-angle lens captures full performer at close range.

Audio Systems

4-way, brand-name, professional P.A. system of suitable size proportional to the venue. Even coverage for the entire audience area, including the zone directly along the front of the stage (in-fills and/or delays where required).

System must produce 110 dB LAeq 15 at mid-house without distortion with available headroom. Substantial sub bass (20–120 Hz) required, 2:1 subwoofer-to-top ratio strongly recommended.

Contract Terms & Safety
This rider is part of our contract with you. All costs connected to fulfillment are the promoter's responsibility unless otherwise advanced with the Flying Lotus Production Manager. If any part of this rider cannot be fulfilled, please contact us in advance for discussion. Failure to fulfill this rider without advance agreement renders the contract null and void; the artist will not be obliged to perform and will remain entitled to the full contracted fee.
Settlement & Payment

Fee balance wired to The Wasserman Agency the day after performance unless otherwise arranged. Bank details per the contract deposit arrangement. Provisional settlement on show night, final settlement via email to Agent and Production Manager. Cash requests must be advanced at least one week prior.

Photography / A/V Recording

Photographers inside the barricade for the first 3 songs only, no flash. No photographers on stage unless approved by Production Manager. No audio or video recording at any time without signed release.

Sponsorship

Any sponsorship or co-presentation must be agreed in advance. No branding, banners, lit signs (including venue branding) on stage or in venue without advance approval.

Transportation

Purchaser provides local transport airport↔hotel↔venue. Liaise with Production Manager to arrange schedule.

Safety & Liability

Promoter is responsible for artist and equipment safety at all times. Promoter must carry proper public liability and cancellation insurance.

  • No cracks in stage; load-in ramps well secured
  • Railings in place; low-hanging fixtures marked with bright tape and padded
  • Promoter provides sturdy Mojo-type barrier per local standards
  • Barrier must not move, bend, or otherwise become hazardous
Security
  • All security staff courteous and professional at all times
  • No local security on stage during performance unless requested by touring personnel
  • All backstage access points secured from doors open until venue cleared
  • Any outside door secured from load-in until crew clears backstage
  • Transport vehicle security provided load-in through load-out if parked in public access area

All hospitality items should be in the dressing room upon artist arrival. Notify the Production Manager for any substitutions or unavailability. Traveling party (headcount TBA) requires a minimum $50 per person meal buyout.
